Shalom Care offers you various affordable and flexible services to assist you in living in your own home and as independently as is possible for you. Some of the services we offer are listed and explained below:

Companionship: our care workers provide you with the companionship you need to read newspapers and letters to you, discuss current issues with you, accompany you out to the shops or local activities, or just stay with you if you tend to be lonely.

Convalescing: we assist you to sort things out in the home while you settle down to recuperating and getting better when you just come home from the hospital. Like prompting your medication, cleaning, meal preparation.

Respite: when your regular carer needs time off for holiday, shopping, or just a break from the regular routine; our own care worker will stand in for your regular carer until he or she comes back.

Domestic duties: we help with household chores like cleaning, sweeping and dusting, emptying trash bins, washing and ironing.

Live-in: when you need assistance 24 hours a day due to your medical or personal situation, our care worker can live with you, supporting you with personal care, housework, meal preparation, medication prompting and companionship.

Overnight Care: our carers will attend to your needs throughout the night as your care plan dictates. From continence care, to medication prompting, turning you on the bed, and to just having someone at hand in the night because of any emergency.

Meal preparation: we can help you prepare light meals, microwave or cook ready meals in the oven, order the meals you want; all with your dietary needs in focus.

 Personal care: with your dignity, respect and independence in mind; we assist you in getting into and out of bed, give you a wash shower or bath as you desire, give you oral hygiene, dress you up appropriately and assist with incontinence and toileting needs. 

Shopping services: when you are unable to go to the shops, our care worker can collect your shopping list and do the shopping for you on a daily, weekly or monthly basis

Administrative services: we can assist you sort out your paperwork and finances, Helping you to reply letters, sorting and filing away documents, working out a financial budget with you to help with your spending. 

When you call us, we will sit down with you and get to know what your needs are then work out how to meet these needs. a Care plan on how to go about meeting the needs will be set up the way you want it. Your care worker will be introduced to you and the care services will commence on the agreed date. Regular review of your care plan will be be done by the Care Manager to ensure it remains relevant to your current needs.

Records of your care worker visits will be kept in your home and be made accessible. Likewise your care plan.

Complaints are encouraged to be made to the office and the Care Manager will deal with them with immediate effect and the procedure will be documented.
